Competitions for a new headquarter for ÖAMTC, the offical automotive club of Austria. Location of the project was Vienna’s east, situated next to one of Viennas most vital highway. As an automotive club, ÖAMTC offers repair, traffic monitoring and traffic consulting, all these functions had to be consolidated in a new main building.
Given the visibility from the Südosttangente, the project required a distinct visual presence and outstanding sign as a headquarter for one of the biggest and most modern companies in Austria. The contemporary character should also articulate it inside by rethinking the conventional officebar into a more fluid transition of individual office spaces arranged along communal areas. This conceptual move defined the building ands its aesthetics to the outside as well. One key requirement was also the accessibility for pedestrians from the nearby metro station on the lot.
My personal responsibility in this project was designer, digital modelling, elevations and visual communication.
