Work Scope:
Concept and Design study for a modular wooden construction system which is flexible and adaptive to changing needs over time.
Project Text:
BetaHood deals with mobile buildings as a possibility space for the development of socially-inclusive quarters on time. Within the framework of an open source basic research, the potential of mobile housing structures and their application possibilities as adaptive, ecologically and economically sustainable as well as user-centered neighborhood development and use are considered.
The aim is to develop the concept for mobile quarters in urban areas on the basis of an open source action guideline and to make it available to possible stakeholders (project developers, planners, manufacturers, municipalities, research) for model projects in different cities through conscious knowledge transfer.
